“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23, ESV)
“if anyone” – does this include you?
“would come after me” – are you going after Jesus – seeking him?
“let him deny himself” – are you denying yourself? What?
“and take up his cross” – cross is the way of death – are you dying to yourself?
“and follow me.” – are you aiming your life for Jesus?
Following Jesus is the place where we surrender our rights, die to ourselves and declare all in for Jesus Christ and follow him by aiming our lives for Jesus.
