BEGIN WITH GOD
MORNING PRAYER
“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (ESV)
ADORATION AND THANKSGIVING
O Lord my God, I begin this day with You. You are the one true God—the uncreated Creator, eternal, infinite, holy, loving, faithful, unchanging, gracious, all-powerful, all-knowing, and present everywhere. There is none beside You. Every good thing I have has come from Your hand. Thank You for life and breath, for the night behind me and the day before me, for daily bread, for Your Word, and most of all for Jesus Christ.
I rejoice because my deepest joy, my surest peace, and my only lasting hope are found in You.
SEARCH ME, FORGIVE ME, AND RENEW ME
Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. Show me every wrong way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Forgive my pride, self-reliance, stubbornness, selfishness, impatience, and every thought, word, action, or omission that has not pleased You. I confess that I have not loved You with all my heart, soul, and mind, and I have not loved my neighbors as myself.
Thank You that Jesus paid for my sins in full. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. As You have forgiven me, I forgive those who have done anything against me. Bless them, draw them close to You, and free my heart from bitterness.
MY HEART AND LIFE
Give me a heart fully joined to Yours—a heart that is humble, teachable, tender, courageous, forgiving, grateful, pure, and hungry for Your Word. Fix my broken ‘wanter’ so that I want what You want. Help me deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Jesus. Transform my mind. Make me quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—be seen in me today.
MY FAMILY
I place my family before You: husbands and wives, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, those near and those far away. Let every member of every family be born again by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Protect marriages. Help husbands love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and help wives love and respect their husbands.
Give parents wisdom, gentleness, consistency, and courage. Give children discernment, moral purity, integrity, perseverance, gratitude, and a lifelong love for You. Heal strained relationships, restore what has been broken, provide what is needed, and make my home a place of prayer, truth, safety, forgiveness, and love.
THE BODY OF CHRIST
I pray for the whole Body of Christ and for every local church that lifts up Jesus in Spirit and truth. Make Your people one in Christ. Save souls, mature believers, strengthen the weak, restore those who have wandered, and teach me to bear the burdens of others. Guard the churches I know from false teaching, division, gossip, slander, jealousy, and competition.
Bless pastors, teachers, elders, deacons, ministry workers, and their families. Give them courage to preach the whole counsel of God, wisdom for every decision, rest for their bodies, protection from the enemy, and encouragement from the people they serve.
THE LOST AND THOSE WHO CARRY THE GOSPEL
Father, bring to my mind the people I know who have not been born again. Open their hearts to the Gospel. Remove Satan’s blinding influence, grant repentance, draw them to Jesus, give them hearts of flesh, and free them from slavery to sin. Give me a burden for souls, loving relationships with unbelievers, opportunities to serve them, and bold but gentle words about Jesus.
Strengthen missionaries and Christian ministries near and far. Open the right doors, close the wrong ones, overcome language barriers, protect their families, supply their needs, and cause Your Word to run swiftly and bear lasting fruit.
THE SICK, HURTING, AND FORGOTTEN
Lord, I pray for those who are sick in body or mind, those facing surgery or treatment, those living with pain, and those awaiting a diagnosis. Give healing according to Your perfect wisdom, skilled and compassionate caregivers, strength for today, and peace in the storm. Comfort those who grieve. Draw near to the lonely, anxious, frightened, addicted, exhausted, homeless, hungry, abused, imprisoned, and forgotten.
Defend the defenseless and help Your people open my hands to give as You have given to me.
LEADERS, NATIONS, AND PROTECTION
I pray for leaders in my home, churches, communities, courts, schools, cities, states, and nations. Remind them that their authority comes from You. Turn their hearts toward truth, justice, mercy, wisdom, and peace. Save those who do not know Christ and steady those who do. Protect unborn children and their mothers; bring children safely to birth and surround families in need with practical help and love.
Protect persecuted Christians. Give them courage, comfort, provision, and boldness to love even their enemies. Dress me in the whole armor of God. Keep me alert, deliver me from temptation and evil, tear down every stronghold, and make me strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
CLOSING
Father, I place before You every need I have named and every need I have overlooked. Your kingdom come. Your will be done in me, through me, in my home, in Your Church, and throughout the earth. I trust You with all my heart. Keep my eyes on Jesus today. Let everything I think, say, and do honor You. I thank You for hearing me. In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Father, I stop in the middle of this day and turn my attention again to You. Show me where my thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions have reflected Jesus—and where I have already wandered into pride, hurry, impatience, or self-reliance.
Forgive me and help me, Lord. Clean my heart, renew my mind, govern my words, and help me love the person immediately before me. I surrender the rest of this day to You and trust You to direct my path. In Jesus’ name, amen.
EVENING PRAYER
REST IN THE GOD WHO HOLDS THE NIGHT
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 (ESV)
THANK YOU FOR THIS DAY
Father, this day began in Your hands and ends in Your hands. Thank You for sustaining my life, providing what I needed, protecting me in ways I saw and ways I did not see, and giving me opportunities to love You and serve others.
Thank You especially for Jesus Christ, through whom I may come to You without fear. My standing before You rests in His righteousness, not in the success or failure of this day.
SEARCH ME AND FORGIVE ME
Search me, O God, and show me this day truthfully. Where did pride, self-reliance, impatience, selfishness, or careless speech govern me? What good did I leave undone? Whom did I fail to love?
I confess what You bring to mind. Forgive me and cleanse me through Jesus. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. I also forgive anyone who hurt, disappointed, ignored, or offended me today. Bless that person and keep bitterness from finding a home in me.
THOSE I LOVE AND THOSE IN NEED
I place my family into Your care: my spouse, children, grandchildren, extended family, and every person whose name is upon my heart. Save the lost, restore the wandering, heal strained relationships, protect marriages, guard children, and supply every need.
Remember the sick, grieving, lonely, anxious, addicted, hungry, homeless, abused, imprisoned, and forgotten. Comfort them through the night. Strengthen caregivers and those keeping watch in hospitals, homes, nursing facilities, and places of danger.
YOUR CHURCH AND YOUR WORLD
Guard the Body of Christ. Strengthen pastors, missionaries, teachers, chaplains, and persecuted believers. Give them rest, courage, purity, provision, and joy in Christ.
Guide those in authority, restrain evil, protect unborn children and every vulnerable person, and turn hearts toward justice, mercy, truth, and peace. Draw unbelievers to Jesus and make tomorrow a day of salvation.
I RELEASE THIS DAY
I release unfinished work, unanswered questions, troubling news, and tomorrow’s responsibilities into Your hands. Protect my home and mind from evil. Give me restorative sleep and awaken me ready to trust and obey You.
Your kingdom come and Your will be done. I rest in the everlasting arms of my Father, through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
GIVE ME A HEART AFTER YOUR HEART
MORNING PRAYER
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 (ESV)
PRAISE
Holy Father, I bow before You. You are perfect light, and in You there is no darkness at all. You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. You know me completely and love me more deeply than I can understand. Thank You for Your mercy, which is new this morning; for the righteousness of Jesus that brings me into Your presence; and for the Holy Spirit who helps me in my weakness and teaches me to pray.
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
Lord, reveal what is hidden in me. Forgive my selfishness, envy, jealousy, comparison, covetousness, resentment, anger, gossip, slander, and the quiet desire to be praised by others. Forgive me for being critical when You called me to encourage, for speaking when I should have listened, and for withholding kindness I could have given. I repent and turn to You.
I receive the forgiveness Christ purchased for me, and I release every offense I have been carrying. I forgive from the heart and pray Your richest blessings upon those who have hurt me.
HEARTS TRANSFORMED BY CHRIST
Give me a heart of flesh rather than hearts of stone: hearts open to Your voice, soft toward people, firm toward sin, and wholly surrendered to Your will. Give me loving hearts, grateful hearts, discerning hearts, servant hearts, generous hearts, peaceful hearts, and hearts that crave You above everything else. Teach me to rejoice in the blessings of others without comparison. Root out bitterness before it grows.
Let the words of my mouths and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You. May I become less self-centered and more like Jesus.
FAMILIES AND HOMES
Bring this work of grace into my home. Let husbands and wives speak truth in love, forgive quickly, keep their promises, protect their unity, and find their deepest satisfaction in Christ. Turn the hearts of parents toward their children and children toward their parents. Give my children and grandchildren faith, integrity, discernment, purity, courage, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and grateful hearts.
Guard family members who are vulnerable, heal old wounds, reconcile those who are separated, and save every loved one who does not yet know Jesus.
CHURCHES, PASTORS, AND BELIEVERS
Make the Body of Christ a people with one heart centered on Jesus. Deliver me from pride, factions, rivalry, prejudice, and the need to have my own way. Help me honor others, bear burdens, confess sins, pray for healing, pursue peace, and outdo one another in showing love. Strengthen pastors and their families. Guard their hearts, marriages, health, doctrine, and private lives.
Give them faithful friends, courage, wisdom, and congregations that pray for them rather than merely criticize them. Restore Christians who are wounded, discouraged, isolated, or untethered from Christ in daily life.
THE LOST, MISSIONS, AND MINISTRY
I plead for those whose hearts are still closed to the Gospel. Circumcise their hearts, remove hearts of stone, give hearts of flesh, open their minds to truth, grant repentance, and draw them to Christ. Free them from sin and from the devil’s snare. Let believers enter their lives with genuine love and clear Gospel truth.
Give missionaries, teachers, chaplains, evangelists, and ministries humble hearts, clean motives, open doors, needed resources, boldness without harshness, and fruit that remains.
SUFFERING PEOPLE
Healer and Comforter, touch those whose hearts are broken by loss, rejection, betrayal, loneliness, fear, or disappointment. Heal bodies afflicted by disease and minds burdened by confusion, depression, anxiety, or trauma. Strengthen caregivers. Provide for families facing financial strain, hunger, housing insecurity, or overwhelming responsibility.
Deliver those bound by alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, or any other addiction. Let them know that Jesus is hope for the hopeless, peace for the anxious, strength for the weary, and freedom for the captive.
PUBLIC LIFE, THE DEFENSELESS, AND SPIRITUAL BATTLE
Give our leaders wise and understanding hearts. Turn judges, lawmakers, executives, educators, medical workers, military leaders, and first responders toward justice and mercy. Protect unborn children, the elderly, people with disabilities, victims of violence, refugees, and all who have little earthly power. Strengthen persecuted believers to remain joyful, forgiving, and bold.
Expose lies, demolish strongholds, take my thoughts captive to obey Christ, and help me resist the devil while remaining fully submitted to You.
CLOSING
Lord, take my heart. Unite them to Yours. Let love for You govern my love for people. Let Your Word dwell richly in me. May I walk through this day with clean hands, a pure heart, gentle words, ready feet, and open hands. Supply every need I remembered and every need I forgot. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Lord, examine my heart. Have I been tender toward You and toward others today, or have envy, comparison, resentment, anger, or the desire to have my own way begun to take root in me?
Forgive me and give me a heart like Jesus: humble, teachable, grateful, pure, forgiving, and full of love. Help me listen carefully, speak helpfully, rejoice in the blessings of others, and serve without seeking recognition. In Jesus’ name, amen.
EVENING PRAYER
A CLEAN HEART BEFORE SLEEP
“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!” — Psalm 139:23 (ESV)
GRATITUDE
Holy Father, thank You for every mercy in this day: every kindness received, every need supplied, every danger avoided, every lesson learned, and every opportunity to begin again.
Thank You that Your love did not rise or fall with my performance. In Christ I am forgiven, welcomed, and held fast.
EXAMINE MY HEART
Show me whether envy, jealousy, comparison, covetousness, resentment, anger, gossip, slander, or the desire for praise entered my heart or crossed my lips. Show me where I was defensive, unteachable, impatient, or unwilling to serve.
I name these sins before You and turn from them. Forgive me, Lord. Remove every root of bitterness and every hidden impurity. Give me a heart of flesh—humble, grateful, tender, forgiving, and hungry for You.
FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION
Because You have forgiven me, I forgive those who offended me. I release my demand to be repaid. If I need to apologize, make restitution, or seek reconciliation, give me courage to do it promptly and humbly.
Bless the people with whom I struggled today. Work in both of us for peace, holiness, and love.
FAMILY AND CHURCH
Guard my family through the night. Make our home a place of truth, prayer, safety, patience, and quick forgiveness. Draw every loved one to saving faith and mature each believer in Christ.
Protect my church and its shepherds from pride, division, false teaching, discouragement, and secret sin. Renew their strength and surround them with faithful prayer.
REST
I entrust the lost, the sick, missionaries, leaders, unborn children, persecuted Christians, and every suffering person to Your unfailing care. Cover needs I do not know how to express.
Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart. I lie down forgiven, forgiving, and held by You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST
MORNING PRAYER
“Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” — Romans 10:1 (ESV)
ADORATION
Father, You are the God who seeks the lost. While I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. You did not wait for me to find my way home; Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I praise You for the Gospel: Christ died for my sins, was buried, rose from the dead, and gives eternal life to everyone who trusts Him. Thank You that salvation is Your gift—by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
CONFESSION AND RENEWAL
Forgive me for spiritual indifference, fear of people, love of comfort, and silence when I had an opportunity to speak of Jesus. Forgive me for treating people as interruptions rather than souls You created and Jesus died to save. Forgive my pride, harshness, hypocrisy, and failure to display the love of Christ. Cleanse me, humble me, and fill me with compassion. I forgive those who reject, mock, or mistreat me.
Give me the mind of Christ and a deep burden for souls.
PRAYER FOR THE LOST
I bring before You my family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances, leaders, and people across the world who have not been born again. Let today be the day of salvation. Remind them through creation that You are God. Convict them of sin and of their need for a Savior. Remove Satan’s blinding influence. Grant them repentance and spiritual sight. Open their hearts as You opened Lydia’s heart.
Give them hearts of flesh, free them from slavery to sin, draw them to Jesus, and enable them to confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead.
MAKE ME A FAITHFUL WITNESS
Give me relationships in which I can display and explain the Gospel. Open doors for loving service and honest conversation. Give me boldness, wisdom, patience, and words suited to each person. Keep me from manipulation and from cowardice. Let my light shine so that others see what Christ has done and glorify You. Send other believers to plant and water. Keep me faithful and persistent when I see no immediate result.
Send laborers into the harvest—and send me.
MY FAMILY AND THE BODY OF CHRIST
Save every unsaved person within my family. Strengthen marriages and make my home a clear witness to the grace of Jesus. Give children and grandchildren a sincere faith that becomes their own. Awaken believers who have grown cold. Mature the Body of Christ in truth, love, humility, prayer, holiness, and service. Bless pastors and teachers with Gospel clarity. Protect them from discouragement and false teaching.
Make every local church a house of prayer and a sending church.
MISSIONARIES, MINISTRIES, AND THE PERSECUTED
Strengthen missionaries and their families serving near and far. Grant open doors, language skill, cultural wisdom, protection, provision, perseverance, and fearless proclamation. Let Your Word go forth and accomplish Your purpose. Bless Bible translators, teachers, broadcasters, chaplains, church planters, relief workers, and every Christ-centered ministry. Comfort persecuted Christians.
Use even their chains to advance the Gospel. Save their persecutors as You saved Saul, and turn enemies of Christ into faithful servants of Christ.
THE SICK AND BURDENED
I pray for those whose suffering makes it difficult to hear or believe good news. Meet the sick in hospital rooms, treatment centers, nursing homes, memory-care units, and private homes. Comfort the grieving, lonely, addicted, anxious, and afraid. Provide food, shelter, medicine, friendship, and hope. Use Christian caregivers to make the tenderness of Jesus visible.
Heal according to Your will, and in every circumstance reveal Your presence and peace.
LEADERS, FAMILIES, AND THE VULNERABLE
Save our leaders and give them wisdom to protect life, preserve justice, restrain evil, and promote peace. Guide local, state, and national authorities whether they acknowledge You or not. Protect unborn children and their mothers. Strengthen adoption and foster families. Defend children, the elderly, the poor, the abused, and the forgotten. Let the Church be known for truth joined with costly love.
PROTECTION AND CLOSING
Protect my mind and homes from the schemes of the evil one. Tear down strongholds of unbelief, addiction, lust, anger, bitterness, and despair. Dress me in Your armor and keep me praying at all times. Father, I trust You for the people whose names I carry in my heart. Do what only You can do, and use me however You choose. Your kingdom come; Your will be done. In Jesus’ saving name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Father, remind me that every person I meet is a soul You created and Jesus died to save. Forgive me for indifference, fear, preoccupation, or any failure to show the grace and truth of Christ.
Help me see people as Jesus sees them. Give me a burden for the lost, an open door to serve, and words that are clear, loving, and courageous. Let my life point away from me and toward Jesus. In His saving name, amen.
EVENING PRAYER
REMEMBER THE SOULS BEFORE YOU
“The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:10 (ESV)
THANKSGIVING FOR THE GOSPEL
Father, thank You that when I was lost, Jesus came for me. Thank You that Christ died for my sins, rose from the grave, and gave me eternal life as Your gift.
Thank You for every person who prayed for me, lived the Gospel before me, and spoke truth to me.
CONFESSION
Forgive me for every time today that I treated a person as an interruption rather than a soul. Forgive fear, silence, indifference, harshness, hypocrisy, or concern for my comfort above another person’s eternity.
Cleanse me and give me the compassion of Jesus. I forgive anyone who rejected or ridiculed me, and I pray for that person’s salvation.
PRAYER FOR THE LOST
I bring before You the names and faces You have placed on my heart. Remove spiritual blindness, grant repentance, open hearts to the Gospel, give hearts of flesh, and draw them to Jesus.
Send believers to plant and water. Give me faithful relationships, opportunities to serve, and words that are gentle, clear, and bold. Do not let me give up when I cannot see what You are doing.
THOSE WHO CARRY THE WORD
Strengthen pastors, missionaries, Bible translators, teachers, chaplains, evangelists, and Christian ministries. Open the right doors, supply every need, protect their families, and cause Your Word to bear lasting fruit.
Comfort persecuted believers and use even their suffering to advance the Gospel. Save persecutors as You saved Saul.
REST IN YOUR SAVING WORK
Comfort the sick, grieving, lonely, addicted, and afraid. Guide leaders and protect the vulnerable. Save members of my own family who do not know Christ.
I cannot save anyone, but You are mighty to save. I place these souls in Your hands and rest in Your wisdom, love, and power. In Jesus’ name, amen.
HEAL, COMFORT, AND SUSTAIN
MORNING PRAYER
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (ESV)
THE GOD WHO IS NEAR
Compassionate Father, You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals; the Shepherd who restores my soul; the God of all comfort; and the Father who never leaves or forsakes His children. I praise You because darkness is not dark to You. No hospital room, lonely home, prison cell, battlefield, or valley of grief is beyond Your presence.
CONFESSION AND RELEASE
Forgive my anxiety, unbelief, complaining, and attempts to control what belongs in Your hands. Forgive me for being impatient with suffering people, inattentive to caregivers, or slow to help when I had the ability. Forgive self-pity, resentment, and the fear that forgets Your faithfulness. I confess my sins and receive cleansing through Christ. I forgive those whose neglect or actions have deepened my pain.
Keep no root of bitterness in me.
HEALING OF HEARTS AND MINDS
Search my heart and heal what is wounded. Give peace to anxious hearts, hope to discouraged hearts, companionship to lonely hearts, and rest to exhausted hearts. Restore minds burdened by depression, trauma, confusion, dementia, or fear. Deliver people from suicidal despair and surround them immediately with wise, loving help. Replace hearts of stone with hearts of flesh.
Give me compassionate, patient, gentle, and listening hearts so I do not add to anyone’s burden.
HEALING OF BODIES
I lift up those living with cancer, heart disease, neurological illness, chronic pain, infection, injury, disability, and every disease known or unknown to me. Guide physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, technicians, researchers, chaplains, and caregivers. Give accurate diagnoses and wise treatment. Ease pain, restore strength, prevent complications, and grant healing according to Your perfect will.
For those nearing the end of earthly life, remove fear, give assurance in Christ, and surround them with peace and love.
FAMILIES UNDER PRESSURE
Strengthen families caring for sick, aging, disabled, addicted, or grieving loved ones. Give husbands and wives tenderness toward each other. Protect children from feeling forgotten in the crisis. Provide finances, transportation, meals, rest, and trustworthy help. Reconcile family members while there is time. Save those who do not know Jesus.
Let homes under pressure become places where Your presence, patience, provision, and peace are unmistakable.
THE CHURCH AS YOUR HELPING HANDS
Make the Body of Christ attentive to hurting members. Teach me to bear burdens, visit the sick, feed the hungry, welcome the lonely, comfort the grieving, and pray with faith. Bless pastors and chaplains who enter painful places. Keep them from weariness and give them true words, listening ears, and quiet courage.
Protect local churches from becoming inward-looking; make me willing to give time, money, transportation, food, and friendship.
THE LOST, MISSIONARIES, AND PERSECUTED BELIEVERS
Use suffering to turn searching hearts toward Jesus without letting me offer shallow answers to deep pain. Open the hearts of the lost and grant saving faith. Strengthen missionaries serving where medical care and resources are scarce. Protect persecuted Christians who suffer imprisonment, injury, loss of home, or separation from family.
Comfort them in Christ, supply their needs, make them bold and forgiving, and use their witness to bring persecutors to salvation.
LEADERS AND THE DEFENSELESS
Give wisdom to leaders who make decisions about health, safety, war, poverty, disability, aging, and the care of children. Let justice be joined with mercy. Protect unborn children, mothers in crisis, abused children, trafficking victims, refugees, prisoners, the elderly, and people who cannot speak for themselves. Raise up honest servants and generous communities. Restrain those who exploit weakness.
PROTECTION, TRUST, AND CLOSING
Deliver those bound by addiction and destroy the strongholds that keep them returning to harm. Protect caregivers from exhaustion, families from division, and sufferers from despair. Help me cast every burden on You and then take the next faithful step. Lord, the ocean is so large and my boat are so small; teach me to sail through this day leaning fully on You. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Compassionate Father, I pause to place my burdens and the burdens of others into Your hands. Forgive my anxiety, unbelief, complaining, or attempt to control what belongs to You.
Help me trust You and take the next faithful step. Heal the sick, comfort the grieving, strengthen the weary, calm the anxious, and use my hands, words, time, and resources to carry Your comfort to someone today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
EVENING PRAYER
THE LORD IS NEAR
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (ESV)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRESENCE
God of all comfort, thank You for walking with me through this day. You were present in every burden, every moment of pain, and every quiet mercy.
Thank You that no darkness is dark to You and no sufferer is beyond Your sight.
CONFESSION AND TRUST
Forgive my anxiety, unbelief, complaining, impatience, or attempt to control what belongs to You. Forgive me if I overlooked someone’s pain, offered shallow words, or withheld help I could have given.
I confess my weakness and receive Your grace. I forgive those whose absence, neglect, or actions increased my hurt.
THE SICK AND BROKENHEARTED
Bring healing and relief to those living with disease, injury, chronic pain, depression, trauma, confusion, or dementia. Guide doctors and caregivers. Give accurate diagnoses, wise treatment, strength, and peace.
Comfort those grieving a death, fearing tomorrow, or feeling they cannot take another step. Protect anyone in suicidal despair and bring immediate, wise, loving help.
FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS
Strengthen families caring for sick, aging, disabled, addicted, or grieving loved ones. Give them sleep, finances, meals, transportation, patience, and trustworthy help.
Protect marriages and children under pressure. Reconcile families while there is time, and save those who do not know Jesus.
REST FOR THE WEARY
Remember the poor, homeless, abused, imprisoned, persecuted, and forgotten. Make Your Church willing to visit, give, listen, pray, and bear burdens.
I place my own body, mind, family, and future in Your hands. Restore me through the night and make me an instrument of Your comfort tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
YOUR KINGDOM COME IN OUR LAND
MORNING PRAYER
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” — 1 Timothy 2:1 (ESV)
THE SOVEREIGN LORD
King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, I worship You. Nations rise and fall, but Your throne endures forever. Every authority exists under Your authority. You are perfectly just, infinitely wise, rich in mercy, and unchanging in truth. Thank You that my citizenship is in heaven and my hope is not in any person, party, court, army, economy, or nation, but in Jesus Christ my Lord.
CONFESSION FOR MYSELF AND OUR LAND
I humble myself and confess my sins. Forgive pride, greed, prejudice, hatred, dishonesty, sexual immorality, violence, indifference to suffering, misuse of power, and the worship of comfort and success. Forgive the Church wherever I have compromised truth, confused political power with spiritual power, slandered others, or failed to love my enemies. Forgive my personal anger, contempt, gossip, fear, and covetousness.
Cleanse me through Christ and teach me to forgive as I have been forgiven.
MY HEART
Give me a heart that fear You and therefore need not fear people. Give me wise hearts, peaceful hearts, truthful hearts, courageous hearts, compassionate hearts, and hearts free from partisan hatred. Help me be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Teach me to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Let my words help the hearer.
Keep me faithful when truth is unpopular and gentle when disagreement is sharp.
GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC SERVANTS
I pray for presidents, governors, legislators, judges, mayors, council members, law-enforcement officers, military personnel, diplomats, educators, and every public servant. Remind them that authority comes from You and is given for service. Turn their hearts like streams of water in Your hand. Give them wise counsel, integrity, courage, restraint, and concern for those with little influence. Save those who do not know Christ.
Strengthen believers to lead humbly and without compromise. Expose corruption, restrain violence, establish justice, and grant me a peaceful and quiet life in godliness.
FAMILIES, CHILDREN, AND THE UNBORN
Protect the family, which You created. Strengthen marriages and turn parents and children toward one another. Help fathers and mothers order their homes in love, truth, discipline, and grace. Protect unborn children in the place You designed for safety. Support mothers and fathers in crisis with practical care, housing, medical help, friendship, and hope. Transform places of death into places where life is protected.
Guard children from abuse, exploitation, hunger, neglect, and falsehood. Give every child the opportunity to know Jesus.
THE CHURCH AND ITS LEADERS
Make local churches faithful to Scripture, fervent in prayer, united in Christ, generous toward the poor, and courageous in witness. Give pastors wisdom to address public sin without abandoning the Gospel or becoming servants of any earthly faction. Protect their families and renew their strength.
Help Christians honor authorities without calling evil good, obey You above all, and demonstrate the character of Jesus in public and private life.
THE LOST, MISSIONS, AND THE NATIONS
I pray for the salvation of people in every nation, including leaders, soldiers, prisoners, refugees, and those who oppose Christ. Open hearts to the Gospel, grant repentance, and draw many to Jesus. Bless missionaries and ministries crossing cultural, political, and language barriers. Open doors no government can close.
Protect workers, supply resources, and let the message of Christ bring reconciliation where hatred has ruled.
THE SUFFERING AND PERSECUTED
Provide for the sick, poor, homeless, hungry, disabled, addicted, grieving, and lonely. Give communities wisdom to address real needs without forgetting the dignity of each person. Protect persecuted Christians and their families. Give them courage to endure, grace to forgive, and boldness to witness. Restrain terrorist groups, traffickers, violent gangs, abusive authorities, and all who steal, kill, and destroy.
Save enemies and make them brothers and sisters in Christ.
SPIRITUAL PROTECTION AND CLOSING
Keep me from believing lies, hating image-bearers, or trusting in worldly weapons for a spiritual battle. Tear down strongholds of anger, fear, greed, prejudice, lust, and power. Clothe me with the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, Gospel shoes, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Teach me to pray at all times. Heal my land as You turn hearts to Yourself.
Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Sovereign Lord, amid the noise and division of this world, search my heart. Forgive anger, contempt, fear, careless speech, or trust placed in human power rather than in You.
Help me speak truth in love, pray for those in authority, honor every person made in Your image, defend the vulnerable, and remain faithful to Jesus above every earthly allegiance. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in me. Amen.
EVENING PRAYER
PEACE OVER MY HEART AND MY LAND
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV)
THE KING ABOVE EVERY KING
Sovereign Lord, nations change and leaders pass away, but Your throne endures forever. Thank You that my hope is secure in Jesus rather than in any earthly power.
Thank You for every public servant who acted with courage, honesty, justice, and mercy today.
CONFESSION
Forgive anger, contempt, prejudice, fear, careless political speech, or trust placed in people and institutions instead of You. Forgive me if I called evil good, ignored suffering, or failed to pray for leaders with whom I disagree.
Cleanse my heart of hatred and pride. Help me speak truth in love and remember that every person bears Your image.
LEADERS AND PUBLIC LIFE
Give wisdom and integrity to presidents, governors, legislators, judges, mayors, law-enforcement officers, military personnel, educators, medical workers, and all public servants. Save those who do not know Christ and steady those who do.
Expose corruption, restrain violence, establish justice, protect religious freedom, and grant peaceful and quiet lives in godliness.
THE VULNERABLE
Protect unborn children and mothers in crisis. Surround families with practical help, housing, medical care, friendship, and hope. Defend children, elderly people, those with disabilities, refugees, prisoners, and victims of abuse and trafficking.
Strengthen the Church to join truth with costly love and to serve without seeking earthly power or praise.
PEACEFUL REST
Protect persecuted Christians, missionaries, soldiers, first responders, and people living amid war or civil unrest. Turn enemies toward Christ and make peace where hatred has ruled.
I release the news, the nation, and the future to You. Govern my heart while I sleep and make me faithful in the place You have assigned me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
STAND FIRM IN THE LORD
MORNING PRAYER
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” — Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)
PRAISE TO MY DELIVERER
Lord God Almighty, You are my rock, fortress, shield, defender, and deliverer. Jesus has overcome the world. He has rescued me from the domain of darkness and brought me into His kingdom. Nothing in all creation can separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus.
I praise You because the battle belongs to You, Your Word is living and active, Your Spirit lives within Your people, and greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
CONFESSION AND SUBMISSION
I submit myself to You. Forgive the doors I have opened through pride, lust, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, comparison, jealousy, greed, dishonesty, gossip, slander, occult involvement, addiction, and willful disobedience. Forgive me for fighting people when my true struggle is spiritual. Cleanse me through Jesus. I forgive everyone who has offended me, release bitterness, and pray blessing rather than revenge.
I renounce every lie and receive the truth of Your Word.
TEAR DOWN STRONGHOLDS
By the power of Christ, tear down every fortified pattern of sin. Where anger rules, make me quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Where comparison rules, teach me to celebrate others and rest in how You made me. Where bitterness rules, give grace to forgive. Where anxiety rules, teach me to cast my cares on You. Where lust rules, purify my eyes, minds, habits, and devices.
Where addiction rules, bring confession, wise help, accountability, new patterns, and lasting freedom. Take every thought captive to obey Christ.
DRESS ME FOR BATTLE
Fasten around me the belt of truth and guard me from deception. Cover me with the breastplate of Christ’s righteousness. Fit my feet with readiness from the Gospel of peace. Raise the shield of faith against every flaming dart. Guard my mind with the helmet of salvation. Put the sword of the Spirit—Your Word—in my hand and heart. Keep me praying at all times with alertness and perseverance.
Provide the way of escape in temptation and give me strength to take it.
PROTECT MY FAMILY
Place a hedge of protection around my marriage, children, grandchildren, homes, and relationships. Guard me from division, secrecy, seduction, resentment, financial destruction, violence, and despair. Give husbands and wives faithfulness and tenderness. Give parents wisdom to protect without provoking. Give children discernment, purity, courage, and trustworthy Christian friends. Save every unsaved loved one.
Heal broken homes and return wandering family members to truth.
THE BODY OF CHRIST AND ITS SHEPHERDS
Protect churches from false prophets, false doctrine, prideful leadership, abuse, scandal, division, and discouragement. Keep pastors and ministry leaders pure in heart, sound in doctrine, faithful in marriage, humble in service, and courageous in preaching. Surround them with praying believers and wise friends. Restore wounded Christians and disciplined leaders who truly repent.
Make the Church a house of prayer, a place of truth and safety, and a light that points unmistakably to Jesus.
THE LOST, MISSIONARIES, AND PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS
Break Satan’s blinding influence over unbelievers. Grant repentance, open hearts, and bring people to saving faith in Jesus. Protect missionaries and ministries where opposition is strong. Give them words, courage, wisdom, provision, and fruit. Strengthen persecuted Christians who are threatened, imprisoned, beaten, displaced, or bereaved.
Let them know the comfort of Christ, remain joyful, forgive enemies, and proclaim the Gospel boldly. Convert persecutors and dismantle violent plans.
THE SICK, VULNERABLE, AND THOSE IN AUTHORITY
Shield the sick, grieving, lonely, addicted, poor, abused, and fearful from despair and exploitation. Bring healing, comfort, safe people, and practical provision. Protect unborn children and vulnerable adults. Give leaders wisdom to restrain evil and protect the innocent. Turn their hearts toward You; save those who are lost; and keep believing leaders from compromise, pride, and fear.
VICTORY AND CLOSING
Lord, I do not trust my strength. I humble myself, resist the devil, and stand firm in faith. Guard my going out and coming in. Let no weapon formed against Your purpose succeed. Use every trial to make me more like Jesus. Cover every need I named and every need known only to You. I belong to Christ, and in Him I am more than a conqueror. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ mighty and merciful name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Lord, make me alert. Show me where temptation, resentment, lust, fear, comparison, or an old habit is trying to gain ground in my thoughts and choices.
Forgive me, cleanse me, and help me take the way of escape You provide. Fasten truth around me, guard my heart and mind, place Your Word on my lips, and make me strong in You rather than confident in myself. In Jesus’ name, amen.
EVENING PRAYER
GUARDED THROUGH THE NIGHT
“The Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (ESV)
MY ROCK AND DELIVERER
Lord Jesus, You have overcome the world and delivered me from the domain of darkness. Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love.
I do not rest in my own strength. I rest in Your victory, Your righteousness, Your Word, and Your faithful presence.
CONFESSION AND RENUNCIATION
Forgive pride, lust, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, comparison, jealousy, greed, dishonesty, gossip, slander, addiction, and every willing compromise. Show me any door I opened to temptation today.
I confess and turn from these things. I forgive those who offended me. I renounce every lie and receive the truth of Scripture.
TEAR DOWN STRONGHOLDS
Where anger has ruled, make me slow to anger. Where comparison has ruled, make me grateful. Where bitterness has ruled, make me forgiving. Where anxiety has ruled, teach me to cast my cares on You.
Where lust or addiction has ruled, purify my mind, habits, and devices. Give me wise help, honest accountability, the courage to remove occasions of sin, and strength to take the way of escape.
PROTECTION
Fasten truth around me, guard my heart with Christ’s righteousness, cover my mind with salvation, raise the shield of faith, and keep Your Word alive in me. Protect my family, home, church, pastors, missionaries, and persecuted believers.
Guard the sick, lonely, vulnerable, and frightened from despair and exploitation. Restrain evil plans and turn enemies toward repentance.
STAND AND REST
I submit myself to You and resist the devil. Guard my sleep, imagination, body, home, and every person entrusted to me.
Having done all, help me stand—and then help me rest. I belong to Christ. In His mighty and merciful name, amen.
REST, REJOICE, AND GIVE THANKS
MORNING PRAYER
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (ESV)
WORSHIP AND WONDER
O Lord of the day and of the night, I become still before You. The heavens declare Your glory, and all creation bears witness to Your wisdom and power. You were God before the first morning and will be God when time is no more. Holy, holy, holy are You, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. I praise You for who You are—not only for what You give. My souls find their rest in You.
THANKSGIVING
Thank You for Jesus, for the cross, the empty tomb, forgiveness, adoption into Your family, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the sure hope of eternal life. Thank You for Scripture and prayer, for Elaine and those I love, for families and friends, pastors and churches, food and shelter, work and rest, laughter and tears, lessons learned through hardship, and mercies I noticed and those I missed.
Thank You that nothing can separate Your children from Your love in Christ.
EXAMINATION, CONFESSION, AND FORGIVENESS
As I complete this cycle, search me and know me. Show me where I have loved the world, neglected Your Word, hurried past prayer, wounded others, wasted opportunities, or served myself. Forgive pride, selfishness, envy, resentment, jealousy, covetousness, anger, lust, gossip, slander, fear, anxiety, and unbelief. I repent and rest in the finished work of Jesus.
I forgive everyone who has wronged me and ask You to show me anyone with whom I should seek reconciliation.
RENEW MY HEART
Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Give me a heart hungry for God, hearts that love Your Word, hearts quick to obey, hearts satisfied in Christ, and hearts eager to serve. Make me humble, teachable, discerning, pure, courageous, faithful, grateful, compassionate, generous, forgiving, and full of love.
Help me abide in Jesus, walk by the Spirit, pray without ceasing, and live every ordinary moment in Your presence.
BLESS MY FAMILY
I thank You for my family and entrust every person to You. Save the lost, restore the wandering, strengthen marriages, heal wounds, reconcile relationships, and protect my children and grandchildren. Give husbands, wives, parents, and children grace to fulfill their responsibilities in Christ.
Let every home be founded on Jesus, filled with Scripture, marked by prayer, protected from evil, generous toward others, and ready to forgive. Supply every spiritual, emotional, physical, relational, and financial need.
BLESS YOUR CHURCH AND THOSE WHO SERVE
Thank You for the Body of Christ. Mature Your people into the fullness of Jesus. Make Your Church one, remove rivalry, and teach me to bear burdens and serve the least of these. Bless pastors, teachers, missionaries, chaplains, ministry workers, and their families. Give them rest, health, wisdom, courage, purity, provision, protection, and lasting fruit. Revive local churches.
Make me faithful to Scripture, fervent in prayer, generous in love, and bold in the Gospel.
SAVE THE LOST AND COMFORT THE SUFFERING
Father, save those who do not know Jesus. Open hearts, grant repentance, remove blindness, free captives, and send faithful witnesses. Heal the sick, comfort the grieving, strengthen the weak, calm the anxious, accompany the lonely, deliver the addicted, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, protect the abused, and remember the forgotten. Give caregivers strength and sufferers peace.
Let everyone in darkness see the light of Christ.
LEADERS, THE VULNERABLE, AND THE PERSECUTED
Guide all who hold authority. Give them wisdom, justice, mercy, humility, and the fear of the Lord. Save those who are lost and steady those who believe. Protect unborn children and mothers in crisis, children and elderly people, people with disabilities, refugees, prisoners, and victims of oppression. Strengthen persecuted Christians with courage, comfort, provision, forgiveness, and bold witness.
Restrain evil and turn enemies toward Jesus.
PROTECTION, SURRENDER, AND REST
Guard me from temptation and deliver me from evil. Tear down every stronghold and keep my mind fixed on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise. I surrender all—my body, plans, possessions, relationships, ministries, unfinished work, unanswered questions, and tomorrow. You are the Potter; I am the clay. Have Your own way in me.
I leave every named and unnamed need in Your hands. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. I rejoice, I rest, and I give thanks through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
O Lord, I become still before You. Help me look back over this day with gratitude: to notice Your mercies, receive Your peace, and recognize where You have been shaping me into the likeness of Jesus.
Forgive what has not honored You and help me finish this day faithfully. Make me present with the people You have given me, thankful for ordinary blessings, and satisfied in Christ. I rest in Your presence. Amen.
EVENING PRAYER
BE STILL AND KNOW
“My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.” — Psalm 62:1
