What this book is

Christian meditation is simply thinking deeply and carefully about what God is saying in His Word, and then living it out — like a cow chewing its cud to get every bit of nourishment from the grass. It is not emptying the mind; it is filling it with the living and active Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 1:2; Joshua 1:8).

This book gives a Scripture to meditate on for every day of the year, with a different focus each month: God, people, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation, justification, sanctification, the Body of Christ, Christlikeness, communion with God, the challenges of life, and the second coming of Jesus Christ. It opens with a worked example of meditating on “The LORD is my shepherd,” and closes with an appendix of Scriptures for meditation.
