What We Believe
- We believe in God.
- We believe in the God who is revealed in the Holy Bible.
- God created all things and all people.
- God made us to be in a relationship with him.
- All people have sinned and so cannot fellowship with God on our own.
- The only way we can be brought back to God and made right with him is by and through what Jesus did in his life, death on cross, burial and resurrection on the third day.
- We enter our relationship with Jesus in only one way: by faith, trusting in who Jesus is and what he has done. This relationship and the ability to have the relationship is a gift from God.
- We believe in the Holy Bible as the Word of God without error. We must follow the Word of God and not the ways or rationale of the world around us. The world is blown and tossed by many forces in its beliefs, but the Word of God is forever. God never changes.
- We believe that once we are born again (as stated above by grace (a gift) alone, through faith (believing in) in Jesus Christ alone, nothing can ever separate us from God. We are sealed in God as his children never to be separated again.
- We believe that God calls us to tell others about this new birth in Jesus Christ and to encourage them to embrace Jesus Christ as their Savior and place their faith in him and so be reconciled to God.
- We believe that it is important that a new believer be baptized as soon as possible. No one is saved (born again) by baptism but it is a statement to the world that about what God has done on the inside of each believer.
- We believe in and regularly take Holy Communion as a remembrance of what Jesus has done for us. Communion is a reminder of our salvation and should be taken by all who have been born again.
