When my children pray they come quickly to the end wherein they pray “and thank you Lord for all your many blessings.” It may seem like a ‘catch all’ call that a lawyer might draft into a contract favorable only to his client and no one else. Nothing could be further from the truth.Blessing of God creating the universe perfectly so that we can live on this planet and if he had done it a hair’s breadth different we could not live. Blessings of God making creation so we can be sustained from what God himself has provided. Blessings of our daily provision of mercy (new every morning) and grace (greater than all our sin and all our needs) continually day upon day upon year upon lifetime.Blessings of sustaining us with breath and the beat of our heart and the beauty of the presence of God with us and in us.All your many blessings is more blessings than I can count if I started at birth and went twenty four hours a day, seven days a week for a life span of 100 plus years – I would not be any closer to the end of the blessings than when I first began.Thank you Lord for “all your many blessings” in Jesus’ name.
