REST, REJOICE, AND GIVE THANKS
MORNING PRAYER
โBe still, and know that I am God.โ โ Psalm 46:10 (ESV)
WORSHIP AND WONDER
O Lord of the day and of the night, I become still before You. The heavens declare Your glory, and all creation bears witness to Your wisdom and power. You were God before the first morning and will be God when time is no more. Holy, holy, holy are You, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. I praise You for who You are, not only for what You give. My soul finds its rest in You.
THANKSGIVING
Thank You for Jesus, for the cross, the empty tomb, forgiveness, adoption into Your family, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the sure hope of eternal life. Thank You for Scripture and prayer, for the people I love, for pastors and my church, for food and shelter, for work and rest, for laughter and tears, and for lessons I have learned through hardship. Thank You for gathering me with Your people this week, for the preaching of Your Word, for the Table where I remember Jesusโ body and blood, and for every voice that sings Your praise beside mine.
EXAMINATION AND FORGIVENESS
As I complete this cycle, search me and know me. Show me where I have loved the world, neglected Your Word, hurried past prayer, wounded others, or served myself. Forgive my pride, selfishness, envy, jealousy, anger, gossip, fear, and unbelief. I repent, and I rest in the finished work of Jesus. I forgive everyone who has wronged me, and I ask You to show me anyone I still need to make things right with.
RENEW MY HEART AND MY REST
Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. Give me a heart hungry for You, quick to obey, satisfied in Christ, and eager to serve. Help me abide in Jesus, walk by the Spirit, and live every ordinary moment in Your presence. Thank You for the work of this past week, and for the rest You now give me from it. And thank You that this rest is only a taste: that one day I will enter the rest that remains for Your people forever, when every labor is finished and I am fully at home with You.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
I entrust my family to You โ save the lost among them, restore the wandering, and protect my children and grandchildren. Mature Your Church into the fullness of Jesus, and bless the pastors, missionaries, and ministry workers who serve it, especially the ones who are tired right now. Father, save those who do not know Jesus, heal the sick, comfort the grieving, and remember the forgotten. Guide those who hold authority, and strengthen persecuted believers with courage and hope. And for anyone entering this day without family of their own, let them know they belong to Yours.
CLOSING
I surrender all โ my body, my plans, my relationships, my unfinished work, and tomorrow. You are the Potter; I am the clay. Have Your own way in me. I rejoice, I rest, and I give thanks through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โMy soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.โ โ Psalm 62:1 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โSo then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God... Let us therefore strive to enter that rest.โ โ Hebrews 4:9โ11 (ESV)
REJOICE AND GIVE THANKS
Eternal Father, I end this seven-day cycle by becoming still before You. You were God before the first morning, and You will be God when time is no more. Thank You for Jesus, the cross, the empty tomb, forgiveness, adoption, the Holy Spirit, Scripture, prayer, family, church, daily bread, work, rest, and every mercy I noticed this week โ and every mercy I missed.
SEARCH ME
Show me where I loved the world, neglected Your Word, hurried past prayer, wounded others, or served myself this week. Forgive my pride, selfishness, envy, anger, fear, and unbelief. I repent, and I rest in the finished work of Jesus. I forgive those who wronged me, and I ask You to show me anyone I still need to reconcile with.
ALL I LOVE AND ALL WHO SUFFER
I entrust my family to You tonight โ save the lost, restore the wandering, and protect my children and grandchildren. Bless my church, my pastors, and every missionary and persecuted believer serving You right now. Heal the sick, comfort the grieving, and remember the forgotten. Guide those who lead, and turn many hearts to Jesus. And for anyone who spent this week without family close by, let them know they were never outside of Yours.
I SURRENDER ALL
I give You my body, my plans, my possessions, my relationships, my unfinished work, and tomorrow. You are the Potter; I am the clay. Have Your own way in me. I rejoice, I rest, and I give thanks. Keep me through the night, and lead me into another week of trusting and obeying You. Through Jesus Christ my Lord, amen.
BEGIN WITH GOD
MORNING PRAYER
โThis is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.โ โ Psalm 118:24 (ESV)
ADORATION AND THANKSGIVING
Lord my God, I begin this day with You. You are the one true God โ the uncreated Creator, eternal, infinite, holy, loving, faithful, unchanging, gracious, all-powerful, all-knowing, and present everywhere. There is none beside You. Every good thing I have has come from Your hand. I thank You for life and breath, for the night behind me and the day before me, for daily bread, for Your Word, and most of all for Jesus Christ. My deepest joy, my surest peace, and my only lasting hope are found in You, and I rejoice.
SEARCH ME, FORGIVE ME, AND RENEW ME
Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. Show me every wrong way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. I confess my pride, my self-reliance, my stubbornness, my selfishness, and my impatience โ every thought, word, action, or omission that has not pleased You. I confess that I have not loved You with all my heart, soul, and mind, and I have not loved my neighbor as myself.
I thank You that Jesus paid for my sin in full. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. As You have forgiven me, I forgive anyone who has wronged me. I ask You to bless them, draw them close to You, and free my own heart from bitterness.
(Pause here. If a name comes to mind, say it to God.)
THE HEART I ASK FOR
I ask You for a heart fully joined to Yours: a heart that is humble, teachable, tender, courageous, forgiving, grateful, pure, and hungry for Your Word. Fix what is broken in my wanting, so that I want what You want. Help me deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Jesus. Transform my mind. Make me quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Let the fruit of Your Spirit โ love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control โ be seen in me today. Go before me in the work and decisions of this day, and let everything I do be done as for You.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
I carry my family before You, Lord, and I ask You to bring every one of them to saving faith, to protect our marriages, and to make our home a place of prayer, truth, and forgiveness. I lift up my church and its pastors, that they would preach the whole counsel of God with courage and find rest for their bodies. I bring before You the people I love who do not yet know Jesus, and I ask You to open their hearts and draw them to Yourself. I remember those who are sick, grieving, lonely, or afraid, and I ask You to give them healing, comfort, and Your peace. I pray for those who lead in my home, my community, and my nation, that You would turn their hearts toward truth and mercy. And for anyone who feels alone or without family nearby, be Father to the fatherless, Lord, and set the lonely in families.
CLOSING
Lord, I place before You every need I have named and every need I have overlooked. Your kingdom come; Your will be done in me, through me, in my home, in Your Church, and throughout the earth. I trust You with all my heart. Keep my eyes on Jesus today. Let everything I think, say, and do honor You. Thank You for hearing me. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โI will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.โ โ Psalm 34:1 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โIn peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.โ โ Psalm 4:8 (ESV)
THANK YOU FOR THIS DAY
Father, this day began in Your hands and ends in Your hands. Thank You for sustaining my life, providing what I needed, protecting me in ways I saw and ways I did not see, and giving me chances to love You and serve others today. Thank You, above all, for Jesus Christ, through whom I come to You without fear. My standing before You rests in His righteousness, not in the success or failure of this day.
SEARCH ME AND FORGIVE ME
Search me, O God, and show me this day honestly. Where did pride, self-reliance, impatience, selfishness, or careless speech govern me? What good did I leave undone? Whom did I fail to love? I confess what You bring to mind now. Forgive me and cleanse me through Jesus. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. I also forgive anyone who hurt, disappointed, ignored, or offended me today. I ask You to bless that person and keep bitterness from finding a home in my heart.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
I place my family into Your care tonight, and every person whose name is on my heart. I ask You to save the lost, restore the wandering, heal what is strained, and supply what is needed. I remember the sick, the grieving, the lonely, and the forgotten, and I ask You to comfort them through the night. I ask You to guard Your Church, strengthen its pastors and missionaries, and guide those who lead my community and my nation. And for anyone without family near tonight, be near to them Yourself.
I RELEASE THIS DAY
I release my unfinished work, my unanswered questions, troubling news, and tomorrowโs responsibilities into Your hands. Protect my home and my mind from evil. Give me restorative sleep, and wake me ready to trust and obey You. Your kingdom come, and Your will be done. I rest in the everlasting arms of my Father, through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
GIVE ME A HEART AFTER YOUR HEART
MORNING PRAYER
โCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.โ โ Psalm 51:10 (ESV)
PRAISE
Holy Father, I bow before You. You are perfect light, and in You there is no darkness at all. You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. You know me completely and love me more deeply than I can understand. I thank You for Your mercy, new to me this morning; for the righteousness of Jesus that brings me into Your presence; and for the Holy Spirit, who helps me in my weakness and teaches me to pray.
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
Lord, reveal what is hidden in me. Forgive my selfishness, my envy, my jealousy, my comparison, my covetousness, my resentment โ and the quiet desire to be praised by others. Forgive me for being critical when You called me to encourage, for speaking when I should have listened, and for withholding kindness I could have given. I repent and turn to You.
I receive the forgiveness Christ purchased for me, and I release every offense I have been carrying. I forgive from the heart, and I ask You to bless richly anyone who has hurt me.
(Pause here. Let go, right now, of one grudge you are still holding.)
THE HEART I ASK FOR
I ask You for a heart of flesh rather than a heart of stone: a heart open to Your voice, soft toward people, firm toward sin, and wholly surrendered to Your will. Give me a heart that loves, that is grateful, discerning, generous, peaceful, and hungry for You above everything else. Teach me to rejoice in the blessings of others without comparing myself to them. Root out bitterness before it grows in me. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, and guard my heart in the decisions and conversations of my work today. Help me become less self-centered and more like Jesus.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
Bring this same work of grace into my home, Lord โ let truth be spoken in love there, forgiveness come quickly, and every promise be kept. I ask You to give my children and grandchildren faith, integrity, and grateful hearts of their own, and to save anyone in my family who does not yet know You. I ask You to make Your Church one in heart around Jesus, and to strengthen the pastors who shepherd me. I plead for those whose hearts are still closed to the Gospel, that You would give them a heart of flesh. I remember those whose hearts are broken by loss or loneliness today, and I ask You to heal them. And for anyone who feels forgotten or without family of their own, let them know they are not forgotten by You.
CLOSING
Lord, take my heart. Unite it to Yours. Let love for You govern my love for people. Let Your Word dwell richly in me. May I walk through this day with clean hands, a pure heart, gentle words, ready feet, and open hands. Supply every need I remembered and every need I forgot. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesusโ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โSearch me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!โ โ Psalm 139:23 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โThe steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.โ โ Lamentations 3:22โ23 (ESV)
GRATITUDE
Holy Father, thank You for every mercy in this day: every kindness I received, every need You supplied, every danger I avoided, and every chance to begin again. Thank You that Your love did not rise or fall with my performance today. In Christ I am forgiven, welcomed, and held fast.
EXAMINE MY HEART
Show me whether envy, jealousy, comparison, resentment, gossip, or the desire for praise entered my heart or crossed my lips today. Show me where I was defensive, unteachable, or unwilling to serve. I name these before You now, and I turn from them. Forgive me, Lord. Remove every root of bitterness in me, and give me a heart that is humble, grateful, tender, and hungry for You.
FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION
Because You have forgiven me, I forgive those who offended me today, and I release my demand to be repaid. If I need to apologize or make something right, give me courage to do it soon and humbly. I ask You to bless the people I struggled with today, and to work in both of us for peace.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
Guard my family through the night, Lord, and make our home a place of truth, patience, and quick forgiveness. Protect my church and its shepherds from pride and discouragement, and renew their strength. I entrust the lost, the sick, missionaries, and every suffering person to Your care tonight, along with anyone who feels alone without a family of their own.
REST
Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart. I lie down forgiven, forgiving, and held by You. In Jesusโ name, amen.
SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST
MORNING PRAYER
โBrothers, my heartโs desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.โ โ Romans 10:1 (ESV)
ADORATION
Father, You are the God who seeks the lost. While I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. You did not wait for me to find my way home; Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I praise You for the Gospel: Christ died for my sins, was buried, rose from the dead, and gives eternal life to everyone who trusts Him. Thank You that my salvation is Your gift โ by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
CONFESSION AND RENEWAL
Forgive my spiritual indifference, my fear of people, my love of comfort, and my silence when I had a chance to speak of Jesus. Forgive me for treating people as interruptions rather than souls You created and Jesus died to save. Forgive my pride, my harshness, my hypocrisy, and every failure to show the love of Christ. Cleanse me, humble me, and fill me with compassion. I forgive anyone who has rejected, mocked, or mistreated me because of my faith. Give me the mind of Christ and a deep burden for souls.
(Pause here. Picture one person you know who needs Jesus. Say their name to God.)
MAKE ME A FAITHFUL WITNESS
I bring before You my family, my friends, my neighbors, my coworkers, and everyone I know who has not been born again. Let today be the day of salvation for them. Convict them of sin and their need for a Savior. Remove Satanโs blinding influence over them, grant them repentance, and open their hearts as You opened Lydiaโs. Give them a heart of flesh, and enable them to confess that Jesus is Lord.
Give me relationships where I can display and explain the Gospel, and use my work today as a place to display it quietly and clearly. Give me boldness, wisdom, patience, and words suited to each person I meet. Keep me from manipulation and from cowardice. Let my light shine so that others see what Christ has done and glorify You. Keep me faithful and persistent even when I see no immediate result. Send laborers into the harvest โ and send me.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
Save everyone in my family who does not yet know You, and make my home a clear witness to Your grace. Awaken any believer I know who has grown cold. Bless my pastors and teachers with Gospel clarity, and protect them from discouragement. Strengthen missionaries and every ministry carrying Your Word to places I cannot go. I remember those whose suffering makes it hard for them to hear good news, and I ask You to comfort them and meet them there. I pray for those who lead my community and my nation, that You would save the ones who do not know Christ and steady the ones who do. And for anyone without family who knows You, be near to them today.
CLOSING
Father, I trust You for the people whose names I carry in my heart. I cannot save anyone, but You are mighty to save. Do what only You can do, and use me however You choose. Your kingdom come; Your will be done. In Jesusโ saving name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โWalk in wisdom toward outsiders... Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.โ โ Colossians 4:5โ6 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โThe Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.โ โ Luke 19:10 (ESV)
THANKSGIVING FOR THE GOSPEL
Father, thank You that when I was lost, Jesus came for me. Thank You that Christ died for my sins, rose from the grave, and gave me eternal life as Your gift. Thank You for every person who prayed for me, lived the Gospel before me, and spoke truth to me along the way.
CONFESSION
Forgive me for every time today that I treated a person as an interruption rather than a soul. Forgive my fear, my silence, my indifference, or any concern for my own comfort above someone elseโs eternity. Cleanse me, and give me the compassion of Jesus. I forgive anyone who rejected or ridiculed me today, and I pray for that personโs salvation.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
I bring before You the names and faces You placed on my heart today. Remove their spiritual blindness, grant them repentance, and draw them to Jesus. Strengthen pastors, missionaries, and every believer carrying Your Word tonight, and comfort those who suffer for it. I remember the sick, the grieving, and the lonely, and I ask You to guide the leaders of my community and my nation. Save the members of my own family who do not know Christ. And for anyone without family who has come to know You, let them find a home in Your people.
REST IN YOUR SAVING WORK
I cannot save anyone, but You are mighty to save. I place these souls in Your hands, and I rest in Your wisdom, love, and power tonight. In Jesusโ name, amen.
HEAL, COMFORT, AND SUSTAIN
MORNING PRAYER
โThe LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.โ โ Psalm 34:18 (ESV)
THE GOD WHO IS NEAR
Compassionate Father, You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals; the Shepherd who restores my soul; the God of all comfort; the Father who never leaves nor forsakes His children. No hospital room, lonely home, prison cell, or valley of grief is beyond Your presence.
CONFESSION AND RELEASE
Forgive my anxiety, my unbelief, my complaining, and my attempts to control what belongs in Your hands. Forgive me for being impatient with suffering people, inattentive to caregivers, or slow to help when I had the ability. Forgive my self-pity and the fear that forgets Your faithfulness. I confess my sins now and receive cleansing through Christ. I forgive anyone whose neglect or actions have deepened my pain. Keep no root of bitterness in me.
(Pause here. Bring to mind one person who is suffering right now, and simply say their name to God.)
HEALING OF HEARTS, MINDS, AND BODIES
Search my heart and heal what is wounded in me. Give me peace where I am anxious, hope where I am discouraged, and rest where I am exhausted. I lift up those living with cancer, heart disease, chronic pain, depression, dementia, or any disease known or unknown to me. Guide their physicians, nurses, and caregivers. Give accurate diagnoses, wise treatment, and healing according to Your perfect will. For anyone nearing the end of earthly life, remove their fear and surround them with peace. Whether You heal now or call someone home, let them โ and me โ hold fast to the hope of the resurrection: that in Christ, disease, decay, and death itself will one day be undone forever.
Make me attentive today, even in the middle of my own work, to the one person near me who is hurting.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
Strengthen every family I know who is caring for someone sick, aging, or grieving โ give them tenderness with each other, and practical help with finances, meals, and rest. And if I am facing something hard today without a spouse or family in the room, be my household, Lord; You set the lonely in families. Make Your Church attentive to hurting people, and teach me to visit, feed, and sit with them myself, not only to pray for them from a distance. I ask You to strengthen missionaries and chaplains serving where medical care is scarce, and to protect persecuted believers who suffer for their faith. Give wisdom to leaders who decide matters of health and the care of the vulnerable.
CLOSING
Lord, the ocean is so large and my boat is so small; teach me to sail through this day leaning fully on You. Help me cast every burden on You and then take the next faithful step. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesusโ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โThe Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction.โ โ 2 Corinthians 1:3โ4 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โHe heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.โ โ Psalm 147:3 (ESV)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRESENCE
God of all comfort, thank You for walking with me through this day. You were present in every burden, every moment of pain, and every quiet mercy. No darkness is dark to You, and no sufferer is beyond Your sight.
CONFESSION AND TRUST
Forgive my anxiety, my unbelief, my complaining, or my impatience today. Forgive me if I overlooked someoneโs pain, offered shallow words, or withheld help I could have given. I confess my weakness and receive Your grace. I forgive anyone whose absence or neglect increased my hurt.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
Bring healing to those living with disease, depression, or grief tonight, and guide their doctors and caregivers. Strengthen the families caring for someone sick or aging, and give them sleep, finances, and trustworthy help. I remember the poor, the homeless, the persecuted, and the forgotten, and I ask You to make Your Church willing to visit, give, and bear their burdens. And for anyone facing tonight without family near, be near to them Yourself.
REST FOR THE WEARY
I place my own body, mind, and future in Your hands. Restore me through the night, and make me an instrument of Your comfort tomorrow. In Jesusโ name, amen.
YOUR KINGDOM COME IN OUR LAND
MORNING PRAYER
โFirst of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.โ โ 1 Timothy 2:1 (ESV)
THE SOVEREIGN LORD
King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, I worship You. Nations rise and fall, but Your throne endures forever. Every authority exists under Your authority. You are perfectly just, infinitely wise, rich in mercy, and unchanging in truth. Thank You that my citizenship is in heaven, and my hope is not in any person, party, court, or nation, but in Jesus Christ my Lord.
CONFESSION FOR MYSELF AND OUR LAND
I humble myself and confess my sins. Forgive my pride, my prejudice, my dishonesty, and my indifference to suffering. Forgive me wherever I have confused political power with spiritual power, spoken carelessly about others, or failed to love my enemies. Forgive my anger, my contempt, my fear, and my covetousness. Cleanse me through Christ, and teach me to forgive as I have been forgiven.
MY HEART FOR TRUTH AND MERCY
I ask You for a heart that fears You and therefore need not fear people โ a heart that is wise, peaceful, truthful, courageous, and free from partisan hatred. Help me be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Teach me to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Let my words help whoever hears them, and keep me faithful when truth is unpopular and gentle when disagreement is sharp. Let me do my work today with integrity, as a citizen of Your kingdom first.
I pray for presidents, governors, judges, and every public servant, that You would remind them their authority comes from You and is given for service. Turn their hearts like streams of water in Your hand. Save those who do not know Christ, and strengthen believers to lead humbly and without compromise. Expose corruption, restrain violence, and establish justice.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
Protect the family, which You created โ strengthen marriages, and turn parents and children toward one another. Protect unborn children, and support mothers and fathers in crisis with practical help and hope. Guard children everywhere from abuse and neglect. Make my church faithful to Scripture and courageous in witness, and give my pastors wisdom to address hard things without losing the Gospel. I pray for the salvation of people in every nation, and I ask You to bless missionaries crossing barriers no government can close. Provide for the poor, the sick, and the persecuted, and protect anyone with little earthly power to protect themselves. And for anyone who feels they belong nowhere, remind them their truest citizenship is with You.
CLOSING
Keep me from believing lies, hating image-bearers, or trusting worldly power for a spiritual battle. Clothe me with Your armor, and teach me to pray at all times. Bring repentance, mercy, and spiritual awakening as You turn hearts to Yourself. Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesusโ name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โHe has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?โ โ Micah 6:8 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โNow may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.โ โ 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV)
THE KING ABOVE EVERY KING
Sovereign Lord, nations change and leaders pass away, but Your throne endures forever. Thank You that my hope is secure in Jesus rather than in any earthly power. Thank You for every public servant who acted today with courage, honesty, and mercy.
CONFESSION
Forgive my anger, my prejudice, my fear, or any careless word I spoke about people or politics today. Forgive me if I called evil good, ignored suffering, or failed to pray for leaders I disagree with. Cleanse my heart of hatred and pride, and help me remember that every person bears Your image.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
Give wisdom and integrity to every leader tonight, and save those who do not know Christ. I ask You to protect unborn children, mothers in crisis, and every vulnerable person. Strengthen the persecuted, the soldier, and anyone living amid unrest, and turn enemies toward Christ. And for anyone without a place to call home tonight, be their shelter.
PEACEFUL REST
I release the news, the nation, and the future to You. Govern my heart while I sleep, and make me faithful in the place You have assigned me. In Jesusโ name, amen.
STAND FIRM IN THE LORD
MORNING PRAYER
โFinally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.โ โ Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)
PRAISE TO MY DELIVERER
Lord God Almighty, You are my rock, fortress, shield, and deliverer. Jesus has overcome the world. He has rescued me from the domain of darkness and brought me into His kingdom. Nothing in all creation can separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus. The battle belongs to You, Your Word is living and active, and greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
CONFESSION AND SUBMISSION
I submit myself to You. Forgive the doors I have opened through pride, anger, bitterness, comparison, dishonesty, or willful disobedience. Forgive me for fighting people when my true struggle is spiritual. Cleanse me through Jesus. I forgive everyone who has offended me, and I release bitterness and pray blessing rather than revenge. I renounce every lie, and I receive the truth of Your Word.
(Pause here. Name, honestly, one place temptation keeps finding you.)
DRESSED FOR BATTLE
By the power of Christ, tear down every fortified pattern of sin in me. Where anger rules in me, make me quick to listen and slow to speak. Where comparison rules, teach me to celebrate others. Where bitterness rules, give me grace to forgive. Where anxiety rules, teach me to cast my cares on You. Where lust or an old habit rules, purify my mind and my devices, and bring me wise help and honest accountability.
Fasten around me the belt of truth. Cover me with the breastplate of Christโs righteousness. Fit my feet with the readiness of the Gospel of peace. Raise the shield of faith against every flaming dart. Guard my mind with the helmet of salvation, and put Your Word in my hand and heart. Keep me alert today, even in ordinary tasks, to the ways I am tempted to compromise, and give me strength to take the way of escape You provide.
THOSE I CARRY TODAY
Place a hedge of protection around my marriage, my children, and my home, and heal any relationship that has been strained by division or secrecy. Save anyone in my family who does not yet know You. Protect my church from false teaching and discouragement, and keep my pastors pure in heart and sound in doctrine. Break Satanโs hold over anyone I know who does not yet believe, and strengthen missionaries and persecuted believers who stand firm where opposition is strong. Shield the sick and the vulnerable from despair, and give leaders wisdom to restrain evil. And for anyone standing alone in a hard fight tonight, remind them they are not alone.
CLOSING
Lord, I do not trust my own strength. I humble myself, I resist the devil, and I stand firm in faith. Guard my going out and my coming in. I belong to Christ, and in Him I am more than a conqueror. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesusโ mighty and merciful name, amen.
MIDDAY REFLECTION AND PRAYER
โSubmit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.โ โ James 4:7 (ESV)
EVENING PRAYER
โThe Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.โ โ 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (ESV)
MY ROCK AND DELIVERER
Lord Jesus, You have overcome the world and delivered me from the domain of darkness. Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love. I do not rest in my own strength tonight โ I rest in Your victory, Your righteousness, and Your faithful presence.
CONFESSION AND RENUNCIATION
Forgive my pride, my anger, my bitterness, or any door I opened to temptation today. I confess it now and turn from it. I forgive anyone who offended me, and I renounce every lie I believed.
THOSE I CARRY TONIGHT
Protect my family, my home, and my church tonight. Guard the sick, the lonely, and anyone vulnerable to despair or harm. Strengthen persecuted believers and missionaries standing firm where it is hardest, and turn enemies toward repentance. And for anyone facing the night alone, be a strong tower around them.
STAND AND REST
Having done all, help me stand โ and then help me rest. Guard my sleep and my mind. I belong to Christ. In His mighty and merciful name, amen.
COMPREHENSIVE DAILY PRAYER GUIDE
The following two prayers are well written very comprehensive guides for times of deeper and lengthier prayer. These are words given as our guide, but the goal is not to read these words but to use them under the direction of the Holy Spirit for a deeper introspection, cleansing, worship, intercession and time of thanksgiving to the Lord.
Dear Lord, we come now into Your holy presence and say praise be to You, O Lord, praise be to God. This is a day that You have given us, a day You have made, may I rejoice, may all that is in me rejoice and be exceedingly glad because of You. No matter
what is going on around me or even in me, may I rejoice and give thanks for every blessing of life that is in Christ Jesus. Amen. Father, I prayerfully lift up to You myself and my ___________, __________, _________________ and ________________, _____________, and _________________. Lord, have mercy upon us and forgive us of our sins which we have sinned against you and you only; Lord forgive us of the sins we have committed by doing, saying and thinking what we should not have done, said or thought; the sins we have sinned by not doing what we should do, by not saying what we should say, and not thinking as we should think; the sins we have sinned by omitting to do, say and think things which You have called on us to say, think and do. Lord, forgive us of the sins of not loving you with our whole heart, of not loving our neighbors (all people) as ourselves. Father, we know that you oppose the proud and give grace to the humble, grant that we may see ourselves as we truly are, sinners who all fall short, far short, and may we humble ourselves and seek You. Search our hearts O Lord and show us any hidden sins and may we faithfully confess all our sins, ask You to forgive each of us of all our sins, may I, we, all of us, repent of our sins. Cleanse us of all unrighteousness and lead us in the way everlasting. Create in us a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me. Lord have mercy and all in the name and through the blood of Christ Jesus, our Lord and our Saviour. Amen. Lord, I am thankful for this day, thankful and completely grateful for the blood of Jesus, knowing Lord that You have made a way for us to be cleansed from all unrighteousness and to come boldly before Your throne; Lord, we thank You for the power and the promise to protect, cleanse, heal, deliver, sanctify, redeem, justify, and to make all things new in the precious name of Jesus. Amen. (1 John 1:19; Hebrews 4:16)
I apply the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth over our homes according to Exodus 12:7. I apply the Blood of Jesus over every door and window of our homes. I apply the Blood of Jesus over all the contents of our homes. I apply the Blood of Jesus over all who enter in and all who exit out of our homes. Thank You Lord; for our homes and the Blood of Jesus over them. I apply the Blood of Jesus over us as witnesses for You wherever we go. A city on a hill that cannot be hid. We will not hide our light under a bushel, but we will let our light shine before men, and they may see our good works and glorify You Heavenly Father. We will give light to all those in our homes and our surroundings according to Matthew 5:14-16. Thank You Lord; for our ministries and the Blood of Jesus over them. I apply the Blood of Jesus over our businesses and jobs. I apply the Blood of Jesus over our finances and possessions. I apply the Blood of Jesus over our bills, our checking accounts, and savings. I apply the Blood of Jesus over all of our possessions (list them) and everything we have and everything we will have. Thank You Lord; for our finances and possessions and the Blood of Jesus over them. I declare and decree that where the Blood of Jesus Christ is applied, Satan canโt enter according to Hebrews 10:4-23 and I confess now that Jesus is Lord over our families, churches, finances, businesses, jobs, and possessions. Not sickness, not poverty, not death, not problems, but Jesus is Lord over our families and our lives and where the power and presence of Jesus is sickness, poverty, problems, and death canโt remain.
Heavenly Father, I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful that Your Word is true and established in heaven according to Matthew 24:35; that Your mercy endures forever according to Psalms 118:1; that Your grace is sufficient for us according to 2 Corinthians 12:9; for Your angels and for Your protection according to Psalms 91; for Your salvation. That our names are written in the lambโs book of life according to Revelation 21:27; that everyone in our households are saved according to Acts 16:31; for Your righteousness that is imparted to us according to 1 Corinthians 5:21. I am thankful for Your Holy Spirit, the inward voice, the inward witness, the candle of the Lord according to Proverbs 20:27; that You sanctify us daily in Your Word according to John 17:17. Thank You for Your peace which passes all understanding according to Philippians 4:7. Thank You for every battle and every problem we face, knowing that the battle is an opportunity to cause our revelation knowledge parts (pebbles) to become one solid rock that the gates of hell canโt prevail against us. Each and every battle is an opportunity for us to take root so we can bear fruit. We know that the trying of our faith turns into patience, causing us to form into perfect men and women, wanting nothing. Thank You that we can ask You for whatever we will and as long as we are connected to the vine, we have the petitions we ask for. Thank You for Your provisions as You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Thank You for divine prosperity. Thank You for Your healing, past, present, and future as You are Jehovah Rophe. Thank You for divine health. Thank You for physical and spiritual hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, and tasting. Thank You for the sun, moon, stars, trees, grass, air, water, plants, flowers, animals, mountains, valleys and all the other wonderful things You created for us, yet we so often take for granted. Thank You Heavenly Father for Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for being present with us always. Thank You for all of the gifts of the Spirit that you give and uniquely equip us each with in order that by your grace we can live out the path you have laid before us to love
and serve and honor you and be a blessing and help to others along the roads of our lives. Thank You for the fruits of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control according to Galatians 5:22. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace according to Isaiah 9:6; The Way, The Truth, The Life according to John 14:6; The Light according to John 8:12; The Door according to John 10:9; The Bread of Life according to John 6:35; The Good Shepherd according to John 10:11; The Redeemer according to Psalms 78:35; The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords according to Rev. 19:16. Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for everything You have done, for everything You are doing, and for everything You are going to do. I bless You Lord. Heavenly Father, I know that our battle is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places, therefore, I put on each of us the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. We will be strong in You, Lord, and in the power of Your might according to Ephesians 6:10-13. We have Christ in us, the hope of glory, according to Colossians 1:27, so we shall prevail because the battles are not ours, but Yours Lord according to 1 Samuel 17:47. Heavenly Father, I now put on each of us the Breastplate of Righteousness according to Ephesians 6:14; and pray Your Word that we have hidden in our hearts, that we might not sin against You; because You made Christ who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of You, God, in Him. I acknowledge You God as our Jehovah Tsidkenu Your Word says it means our righteousness; (1st Corinthians 1:30) and Jehovah Mekaddishkem, our sanctifier.
Heavenly Father, I realize that our own self-righteousness is as filthy rags in Your eyes according to Isaiah 64:6; but Your Word says if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9. Heavenly Father, please forgive us for our sins. We want to be Your loving and obedient child. We want to be Your spotless bride, presented unto You in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing according to Ephesians 5:27. We want to be holy and without blemish, through the washing of the water of Your Word according to Ephesians 5:26; and acknowledge You are our Jehovah Mekaddishkem, our sanctifier, and we want to be Your humble servant, to walk in love, forgiveness, and gentleness toward each other, showing the love of Christ as Your body according to Ephesians 5:2. Remind us that if we do this we will exit out from Your righteousness and enter back into our old self-righteous filthy rags. Help us to be a doer of Your Word, not just a hearer only, deceiving ourselves according to James 1:22, so we may act upon the revelation knowledge You gave us. I crucify our flesh now according to Romans 8:13, as we die daily from self-desires and live to do Your desires according to 1 Corinthians 15:31. In the Name of Christ Jesus, I command the mind of our flesh to shut up: Donโt talk to us about sin for we are dead to sin according to Romans 6:2; Donโt talk to us about condemnation, for there is no condemnation to us because we are in Christ according Romans 8:1; We walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh according to Romans 8:4; We have been healed by the stripes of Jesus according to Isaiah 53:5.We have been redeemed from the curse of the law according to Galatians 3:13; We are blessed when we come in and blessed when we go out. We are blessed in the city and blessed in the country. Our fruits, seed, land and storehouse are blessed. Everything we touch is blessed and it prospers according to Deuteronomy 28:3-6. All these blessings shall come upon us and overtake us, because we
obey the Voice of the Lord our God. Thank You God that you did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7. Heavenly Father, Your Word says we are not to be deceived, that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, according to 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Your word continues to say; and such were some of us. But we were washed, but we were sanctified, but we were justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God according to 1 Corinthians 6:11. Heavenly Father, I pray that our path is like the shining sun and not of darkness for Your Word says: But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know why they stumble according to Proverbs 4:18-19. Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path according to Psalms 119:105. Lord, you have created a clean heart in us; You have renewed a right spirit within us. You have made old things passed away and all things new. You didnโt cast us away from Your presence and You didnโt take Your Holy Spirit away from us when we failed You for Your mercy endures forever. You restored us to the joy of Your salvation according to Psalms 51:10-13. Your joy is our strength according to Nehemiah 8:10. Heavenly Father, I now put on each of us the Helmet of Salvation. I declare that we are spiritually minded according to Romans 8:6 and have the mind of Christ according to 1 Corinthians 2:16. I take off the carnal way of thinking according to Romans 12:2. Putting on this Helmet we no longer allow our five carnal senses to affect the way that we think. I
exercise our spiritual senses, spiritual hearing, spiritual sight, spiritual touch, spiritual taste, and spiritual smell according to Romans 8:14. I thank You for being our God of peace; Jehovah Shalom, according to Judges 6:24. Heavenly Father, I ask that You give us knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding and the strength and might of You, to be involved in what you want us to be involved in, and not to be involved in the things You donโt want us to be involved in according to Colossians 1:9. Your Word says if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of You, and he will receive wisdom according to James 1:5. I ask for wisdom in every decision we have to make today. Help us to remember that our mind is a judge according to 1 Corinthians 11:31 and we are always listening to fear or faith. Fear produces substances of things not hoped for, the evidence of this worldโs circumstances: evidence of things we can hear, see, smell, taste, and touch. These things are temporal according to 2 Corinthians 4:18. God did not give us a spirit of fear according to 2 Timothy 1:7. Faith produces substances of things hoped for, the evidence of things from the Word of God (โThus saith the Lord..โ): things we cannot hear, see, smell, touch or taste according to Hebrews 11:1. Now these things are eternal. From both of these reports, we choose to believe the report of the Lord according to 2 Timothy 1:12. Heavenly Father, I ask that each of us will hear Your Voice today for our families according to John 10:16: That we will not be deceived in any area, that You will speak through us to our families, and that we will follow You and set a clear path for our families to follow according to John 16:13-15. Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, for You are our strength and our redeemer according to Psalms 19:14. Let our mouths speak wisdom and the meditation of our hearts be of understanding according to Psalms 19:3. Let our speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that we
will know how to answer every man according to Colossians 4:6. Give us the tongue of the learned and lead us to speak a word to him that is weary in season according to Isaiah 50:4. Teach us to exhort one another today, lest anyone of us be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin according to Hebrews 3:13. Help us to never criticize, condemn, or complain because these are destructive weapons that kill, steal, and destroy. They are weapons of the enemy according to John 10:10. Help us to abstain from all appearances of evil according to 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22. Heavenly Father, implant in our hearts: We are doers of the Word according to James 1:22; We are in Jesus and Jesus is in us according to John 17:23; We are the body of Christ according to 1 Corinthians 12:27; We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus according to Romans 8:37. We are overcomers. We overcome by the Blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony and we love not our life unto death according to Revelation 12:11; We are the head and not the tail according to Deuteronomy 28:13; We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us according to Philippians 4:13; As we speak Your Word, we know it wonโt return back to You void, but it will accomplish what it was sent to do according to Isaiah 55:11; If we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and because You hear us, we have whatsoever it is we ask for according to 1 John 5:14-15. Heavenly Father, I thank You for it is written in Psalms 103 that we will not forget all of Your benefits. You forgave all our sins and have healed all our diseases, You redeemed our lives from destruction. You have crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies; You satisfy our mouths with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagles; You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; You have not dealt with us according to our iniquities; As far as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is Your
mercy toward us for we fear You; As far as the east is from the west, You have thrown our sins from us. Heavenly Father, I now gird our loins with Your Belt of Truth. We are set free from bondages and strongholds according to II Corinthians 10:4. We operate in discernment according to Hebrews 5:14 that we may continue to be free. I take off all dependency of the flesh and dependency on anything in this world or this world system. We trust and depend completely on Jesus according to Psalms 31:1. I thank You that You are our Healer, Jehovah Rophe, and You are our Provider; Jehovah Jireh. Heavenly Father, thank You for being our Healer, our Jehovah Rophe according to Exodus 15:26. I declare that You are our health, healing, and soundness in and over us. We have the healing of God, for by Your stripes, we were healed according to I Peter 2:24. We have spiritual healing, soulish healing, physical healing, healing in relationships for we have been redeemed from the curse of the law according to Galatians 3:13. We have been redeemed from sickness, poverty, and spiritual death according to Deuteronomy 28:2-13. We have the health of God. We have Your soundness in our spirits, souls, and bodies. We present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to You, which is our reasonable service. We are not conformed to this world, but we are transformed by the renewing of our minds to Your Word according to Romans 12:1-2. Lord, You are on our side. We fear no man according to Psalms 118:6. We are overcomers. We overcome all strongholds and bondages by the Blood of the Lamb, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9 and the word of our testimony which is Your Word that we have hidden in our hearts to keep us from returning to those strongholds according to Psalms 119:11 and we love not our life unto death according to Revelation 12:11.
Heavenly Father, thank You that all of Your blessings will come on us because we hear and obey Your Voice. Thank You that: Blessed is the fruit of our bodies (our children); Blessed is the fruit of our ground (our possessions); Blessed is the fruit of our cattle (our businesses); Blessed is the increase of our kine (our prosperity); Blessed are the flocks of our sheep (those we have authority over); Blessed is our basket and our store (our finances). Lord, You have commanded blessings on us, our storehouse and in all we set our hands to. You have blessed us in the land that You gave us. You have established us as a holy people unto You as You promised us, as we keep Your commandments and walk in Your ways. We are blessed because we refuse to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor will we stand in the way of sinners, nor will we sit in the seat of the scornful. Our delight is in Your Word, and on Your Word do we meditate day and night. We are like a tree planted by rivers of water that bring forth its fruit in its season; our leaves shall not wither, and whatsoever we do shall prosper according to Psalms 1:1-3. We bring all our tithes into Your storehouse, that there may be meat in Your house, and I will prove You now that You will open the windows of heaven for us and pour out blessings that we wonโt have room to store it all so we will have to give most of it away. For as we have received; freely we shall give according to Matthew 10:8. Lord, Your goodness and mercy shall follow us every day of our lives according to Psalms 23:6. In You, we will praise Your Word and put our trust according to Psalms 16:1. We will not fear what flesh and blood can do to us according to Ephesians 6:12. We know that all things work together for good because we love You and we were called according to Your purpose according to Romans 8:28. According to Romans 8:31, if You are for us; who can be against us? You are on our side; we will not fear what man can do to us, according to Psalms 118:6. Now Lord, I bring our requests to You according to Philippians 4:6: (Prayer List)
Heavenly Father, I now cover our feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace Sandals, enabling us to walk in the Spirit so we wonโt fulfill the lust of the flesh according to Galatians 5:16. Thank You that the Spirit leads us and we walk in the light, as Jesus is, the light according to 1 John 1:7. As we cover our feet with this preparation, we take off vanity, pride, darkness, and ignorance according to Colossians 3:8-10. I thank You for being: our EVER PRESENT GOD, our JEHOVAH SHAMMAH and our SHEPHERD, JEHOVAH ROHI. Lord, Your Spirit is upon us. You have anointed us to preach the gospel to the poor; You have sent us to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim Your acceptable year, and Your day of vengeance; To comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, which is Your planting, that You may be glorified. I loose every wrong pattern of thinking, attitude, idea, desire, belief, habit and behavior that may still be at work in me and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I tear down โ crush โ smash and destroy every stronghold I have erected or permitted to be erected in my life
O Lord as I prepare to meet the new day
Help me to dress properly for this day
to put on the whole armor you have given me
so that - I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world --- and against spiritual wickedness in high places
--- I gird myself with the belt of truth -- Your Word, Lord, which is truth -- contains all the weapons of my warfare which are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds
--- I cover my heart with the breastplate of righteousness -- my feet are shod with the shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace
--- I place over my mind the helmet of salvation
--- I take up the shield of faith so that I may quench all the fiery darts of the enemy
--- I take up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God
--- and just like Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior - I will in the face of every trial and tribulation and test and temptation declare to the enemy โ โDevil, it is writtenโ
thank you our Father for this armor you provide as I pray in the Holy Spirit and in and through the name of Jesus Christ โ
Lord this morning I come against strongholds in my life and the lives of others in my family and in the Body of Christ and other friends and those I don't know - praying against these spiritual strongholds that tear down and hold down - In this name of Jesus Christ I pray

O Lord I come to you and lay down my life
I give myself fully over to you - trusting in you
I cast down every argument, every theory, every reasoning and every proud and lofty thing that exalts itself against the true knowledge of you O God
-- and I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
Today -- I will willingly submit myself to God -- when I resist the devil he must flee from me
Today-- I trust in the Lord with all my heart
I do not lean on my own understanding and
I acknowledge the Lord in all of my ways and
I know as I do that you O Lord are directing my paths
Today -- I present myself as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto you O God which
is my reasonable act of worship unto you O God
In the name of Jesus Christ, I decide right now to walk in JOY -- weeping may endure for the night, but Joy comes in the morning and
IT IS MORNING TIME
-- the joy of the Lord is my strength and from this point on I trouble my trouble with JOY
In the name of Jesus Christ, I decide right now to walk in PEACE - My heart will not be troubled
---by holding to the Word of God - I hold on to the peace of God - I guard my heart and my mind with the peace of God in Jesus name and I declare right now in Jesus name

โReading the Word of God is prayer โ God speaking and me listening. When I am praying the Word of God I know I am praying the will of God.โ
