“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, ESV) Lord, help me in my weakness to see the areas where I am enslaved by my old person – by the ruler of this dark world and may I no longer submit to slavery but to the freedom that is mine in the Lord Jesus Christ “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1, ESV) When we are born again in the Lord Jesus Christ by grace alone through faith alone – we are cleansed of all sin – we are seated with the Lord in the heavenly places – we are cleansed and declared to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and we no longer are slaves to sin! Thanks and praise be to God. Help me Lord in my weakness not to submit again to a yoke of slavery in any area of my life – to not be bound by pride, self-contentedness, self-righteousness, selfishness but to be free and joyful in Christ Jesus in whom I have freedom from sin and bondage to sin.
