Softly fades the light of day as our evening begins Lord that you are not just God of the day but of the night also we rejoice and are glad – for we know that it is you who brought us into and through this day and it is you who will, in Christ Jesus, carry us safely over to the morrow or bring us to yourself to paradise. We trust and rest in peace in your will in these and all matters for you are God and in you we live and we move and we have our being and so we are anxious for nothing but rest in peace and know that it is well with our soul in the Lord Jesus Christ.
