Lord, as I look back across this day that I have just lived through, I recognize that I have sinned against you by not loving you with my whole heart, by not loving my neighbor as myself, by not dying to my self and living all in for you. Lord, forgive my sin and cleanse me and guide my steps to you. Father, as I prepare to lay down may I lay down in Christ and rest in Him and rise in the morning praying ‘Give me Jesus’. Keep me through this night and minister to my heart even as I sleep that even my dreams will be filled with the Holy Spirit and I will wake closer to Jesus than when I first laid down. Lord help me. Amen.
