As the day softly falls into night, as the last glimmers of the setting of the sun have come and gone I am thankful Lord that you never come and go but you are eternally present and we have and can forever count on you in ways never ending and never changing and so I rest in the assurance that this night is not one I will spend alone – in fact you have promised never to leave me nor forsake me and so I rejoice in you O Lord my God and I know without fail that it is in you that I both live, and move, and have my very being and so I lay down now in full faith in your finished work O Lord my God in Christ Jesus – Amen
