Father I adore you and so enjoy your grace and mercy that are mine every day and particularly this day that is closing. Looking back across the day Father, I see that I have failed in more than a few ways to truly put you first in all of my ways. Lord forgive me and cleanse me and lead me in the way that is everlasting. Father, as I lay me down to sleep, I pray that my soul you would keep but if I die before I wake I know, in Christ, my soul you will take to your side – so I lay down in deep peace and joy resting in my Savior Jesus and comforted and directed by my Guide, the blessed Holy Spirit and looking always to you Heavenly Father. Amen
