Father, at the close of day I pray to give you thanks for bringing me through the day and into this evening – I know assuredly it is you and you alone who sustain me and protect me and accompany me in the day and in the night. Bless you O Lord for all your mercy and grace given to me so freely. Now Lord, as I prepare to come to the end of the day I confess my sins and ask for you to forgive and restore me I pray through the night my prayer for others be before you May my praise ever inhabit my lips even as I rest and sleep in Jesus. Amen.
