Lord, you have brought into and through yet another day, we thank you for the day and we pray for your protection and your provision and your presence with us as we come to the close of this day.
I confess / we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart, soul, and mind today and we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves – Lord have mercy, forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness in the Lord Jesus Christ.
May we be filled with your Holy Spirit, and may he bring to mind the Word of God we have read today, and may the Word so inhabit and fill and direct our minds and thoughts that we sleep well and peaceful and sufficiently to love and serve you another day through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
