“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48, ESV) “But how can I do this, I can’t get it all right for even an hour.” This is true and therefore we need God, why we must have God. Therefore, we must be born again. God’s standard is met in Christ, and it is in Christ and him alone that we must trust and find our sufficiency before the Lord our God. We achieve the standard Christ calls us to as we trust completely in him, resting in his finished work and knowing we can do all things through Christ. Amen.
