Grant Us Grace To Walk With You Through Persecution

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10, ESV)  If we are to live our lives following what Jesus is teaching us, Being poor in spirit, being meek, and pure in heart. . . Then we must know that we will be so different from most of the world around us that we will stand out ‘like a sore thumb.’ We are going to be noticed – and when we are noticed because of Jesus Christ – the notice will always come with some persecution. Do not fear and fall away – you are not walking the path alone. Just ahead of you are many great ones of the faith who have passed this way long before you. The Lord has not lost sight of you even if you can’t see him at the moment. Fear this – if there is no negative reaction from the world around you – you must be going the wrong way! Amen.
