“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” (Romans 12:11, ESV) The command here is to ‘serve the Lord’ To be a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, he Is the master and what he wills, we are to do We have no will but his – ours is to trust and obey The ‘how’ of our service is that we are to serve the Lord Joyfully – ever and always ready and willing And not just to serve but to serve fervently – Giving our very all, not even a little lazily but Ever with zeal – being ever zealous for the Lord’s commands Amen
