“And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34, ESV) Whether we recognize it or not – we are all making choices every day – we do not have so many days as one might think. Our days are not in our hands but in the Lord’s hands. Let us live today – choosing Jesus in the way we would if we thought today is our day to meet Jesus face to face – we would be all about Jesus. Today may well be that day we meet Jesus but whether it is nor not, he deserves no less and he asks no less than all in for Jesus – him first in all things. I choose to follow Jesus as closely as I can today. I pray that you choose Jesus also – that we walk side by side spiritually in serving and loving the Lord Jesus Christ and every precious soul he gives us to encourage in Jesus’ name. Amen.
