“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.” (Romans 12:16, ESV) Harmony is a musical term that means synced (sort of) – we need to be in sync with other Christians – we need to be of like mind and able to have empathy with things going on in their lives. The opposite of harmony is to be prideful (haughty) which is the anti- God state of mind where I make sure he knows that I know more than him – true root of all sin is pride. DO NOT DO IT. No one – NO ONE – is beneath you. Have a good association with all and we do this by affirming we are not wise in our own sight. We recognize we don’t know all the answers and not even all of the questions and God blesses everyone with unique gifts and abilities and we can learn from every single person we encounter. Love with patience and care and never be uppity – EVER!
