Our Address For Life is – NOW

July 20, 2026

From birth to final breath, we have only one residence: this exact moment. Every other place we try to travel is just an illusion.

Our minds imagine drifting backward into yesterday or sliding forward into tomorrow. That is only make believe. We never left our only real home – NOW!

Of all the places a person could imagine living, only one actually exists — right now, this very instant.

It is here and now that God meets us.

When God revealed Himself to Moses, He did not say, “I will be has sent you.”

He said:

“I AM WHO I AM.”
— Exodus 3:14

God is the eternal “I AM.” He is never absent from the present. We can only meet Him where we actually are — now.

And what do we find in His presence?

“…in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
— Psalm 16:11

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:7

When our minds wander into imagined worlds of regret, resentment, fear, or anxious speculation, we have not actually traveled anywhere.

We have simply turned our attention away from the God with whom we have immediate fellowship to seek to dwell in places that exist only in our imagination – where we find:

  • Worry instead of peace.
  • Fear instead of faith.
  • Turmoil instead of rest.

God’s remedy for our constant mental time travel is found in Isaiah 26:3: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you.” Peace isn’t found in the past or the future, but in the steadfast now — where God’s presence never departs. Our address for life is NOW.
