“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,” (Colossians 1:9, ESV) What a powerful and effective prayer for us to pray for other Christians – whoever they are and wherever they may be. Lord, right now, in the name of Jesus, we pray for all Christians to be filled to overflowing with the knowledge of your will. For brothers and sisters far and wide to know what you want them / us to do and how we should live: loving, humble, faithful, obedient lives of service to you and care for others – putting their needs ahead of our own. Praying that everyone of us would honor and revere God, knowing he is God, and we are not, and we desperately need you and you definitely do not need us, while also understanding your profound and immeasurable love and provision for us in Christ Jesus. Grant this our prayer O Lord – all our needs are met and fulfilled in you. Amen.
