“Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.” (Romans 12:17, ESV) This is a command of the Lord – do not – do to others as they have done to you! But instead do what is beautiful / honorable / the right thing from God’s view – to others whoever they are and whatever they have done, or you perceive they have done. No matter what – DO NOT REPAY EVIL WITH EVIL He commanded us not to do the wrong thing. Then he also commanded that we do the right thing – the God honoring thing by doing beautifully to the very person who has done harm to you. This is not a human way of thinking, but it is a completely Christ centered way of being. Let us follow the Lord Jesus Christ in all our thoughts, words, and actions. Amen.
