Lord, this day has been long and the challenges have been many – but you are faithful and you have been with me throughout this day – now that it is time to bring this day to a close, I look to you and say ‘thank you Lord for every blessing of this day and for the challenges as well and for being with me and being my strength and my support in all of these. Father, I confess it is against you and you only that I have sinned and fallen short – forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness and lead me through the night in the way that is everlasting – in the beautiful name of Jesus I pray and lay down for rest. Amen.
