We have all experienced the pain of realizing that we have acquired a ‘piece of junk’ in this world. Whether it is a car an electronic device, ill-prepared food…. we know that as often as not, sad to say, what we get is often not what was represented to us. It is not so with God – what he has made is right, the best, fully dependable in every way. “And the voice came to him again a second time, “What God has made clean, do not call common.”” (Acts 10:15, ESV) “For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,” (1 Timothy 4:4, ESV) We can, we must, we will trust God and know that the Lord is good and all that he gives us is good. We know that all people have a sin nature but we were not created that way, it is the influence of sin (the original sin by Adam and Eve) that taints the nature of people. God made us for a relationship with him in holiness through the Lord Jesus Christ and when we are born again that is what we have – in Christ. Amen.
