Lord, as I look back over this day I realize to my shame and horror that I have been weak in my prayer life today – most of this day I acted like I was living in my own strength – Lord forgive me and help me to be more prayerful, more obedient, and more loving to you and to others. I also see that I have tried to do in my strength what only the Holy Spirit can accomplish – I confess and ask forgiveness Holy Spirit for my prideful actions in ignoring you – help me to look to and depend upon and give thanks and praise to you Holy Spirit this night and all the days and nights of my life. Be with me now and grant me rest and restoration that I may more fully serve and love you and all those you bring my way. May I die to myself and live all in for Jesus Christ. Amen.
