“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21, ESV) The world says you must ‘fight fire with fire’ and, ‘they send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue.’ Not surprisingly, God has a different view from the world. God gives us a twofold truth and command: Evil never overcomes evil; and, it is good only that overcomes evil. Whatever the world says, we must ignore because God’s ways and the ways of this world never line up. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding – ever ever! (Proverbs 3:5)
