“so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;” (Colossians 1:10, ESV) What a joy to contemplate a life where I / we / one is bearing fruit in every good work AND increasing in the knowledge of God. This is almost more than one can take in that so many beautiful and precious things may occur as we surrender and yield our lives to Jesus. Lord help me, each of us to walk worthy of you, fully pleasing to you as we bear fruit in every good work and we increase in our knowledge of you. This is truly the way to reach that place we speak of: ‘it doesn’t get any better than this.” That I / we might live our lives and have so many God honoring things to occur. BUT IT IS TRUE AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS DIE! As I die daily, then Christ becomes more daily in me. Yes, the character of Christ begins to form in me and the less of me there is the more room there is for the person of Christ to fill me and inhabit me for the glory of God the Father in Jesus’ name.
